Welcome to the community!

“A single dream is more powerful than a thousand realities.” –J.R.R. Tolkien

Welcome Men, Hobbits, Elves, Orcs and Wizards to the first ever Lord of the Rings Action Figure Archive. Our mission is to create a central hub for fans of Tolkien and action figures, to acquire information on conception, creation and production of our beloved toys. This site is filled with information documented over the course of 20 years. Keep checking back for collector spotlights from our community, galleries, figure checklists, unproduced figures, prototypes, new releases and so much more!

You will notice that although we are Toy Biz focused, we also have a great deal of other brand information. Look in our menu bar for All Brand's of LOTR toys, from the 1979 Knickerbocker line, to the newest 2021 releases! Each company has it's own main page with a separate searchable database of releases that can be filtered in various ways.

One of our best features is the ability to add individual releases to your Wish-list and or Virtual Collection. This allows you to track your collections, and the figures you still need. Once selected from the item level page of the toy's releases, the data is stored in a table within your profile. Your profile is found in the upper right corner of the website. Currently, this feature only works with the Toy Biz dataset. In the future we may extend this to all other toy lines.

This project is a homage to those who created the toys we love, and to those who collect them. Browse to see fantastic toy photography from some of the most talented people in the hobby. Find historic articles on the lines from toy magazines like Tomart's, Toy Fare and Toy Review! Check out my exclusive interviews with sculptors and those who personally brought these works of art to life. Visit our "Education Centre" to learn how figures are made and all the terminology used by the teams that make the toys. There is so much to do here in our corner of Middle-earth! When you're done, head over to our forums, our Facebook group, or to our Instagram for more fantastic images set to movie scenes.
