PETER JACKSON
Sir Peter Jackson represents the pinnacle of movie magic to me. His vision and creativity, in a time that was very limited in technology, commands attention. Starting his career with Gore pictures like 1987's Bad Taste to his splatter flick 1992's Brain Dead, Peter always had a knack for creating something original and different. His acclaimed career spans decades with films such as Heavenly Creatures(1994), The Frighteners(1996), King Kong(2005), The Lovely Bones(2009) and of course the greatest movie Trilogy in the history of cinema The Lord of the Rings. The Hobbit films later added to the mystic of his rendition of Tolkien's universe.
AWARDS AND NOMINATIONS
The Lord of the Rings trilogy would go onto winning multiple awards at the highest level.
In total the trilogy would take home a total of 17 Academy Awards, and the Return of the King would go into history by being only the third movie to win a total of 11 Academy Awards.
PETER THE HOBBIT
Toy Biz would pay homage to the director who brought to life Middle-earth on the silver screen, Peter Jackson. Releasing in 2004 as part of the Trilogy collection Peter Jackson The Trilogy Director as a Hobbit. He would also be released as an exclusive to the Blue Deluxe Gift Pack, while also being packaged and released in the exclusive Action Figure Carry Case.
