Australia
Since 1996 Funtastic Limited has been a toy distributor who aim at "sourcing the brightest and best products from around the world".
Funtastic Limited would also be the primary distributor of Toy Biz Lord of the Rings in 2001 all the way through to the completion of the toy line in 2005.
The toy distributor would also apply a Funtastic brand label sticker with their Australian address on the back of the first assortment of the Fellowship of the Ring, and Collector Series dolls released in the first part of 2001. This sticker is always found at the back of the packaging next to the Toy Biz logo and would not be used in subsequent assortments.
Due to the safety regulation within Australia warning label stickers had to be applied to the packaging on figures that included features allowing for the bow to be fired. This warning label would be placed at the back of the packaging and read “WARNING: Do not discharge the toy in the direction of people or animals as injury could result”.
To better adhere to the regulation later assortments of figures with bow firing features would be released with their bows de-strung. Essentially removing the risk of injury by discharge.
The entire assortment of LOTR figures would be released within Australia including the regional exclusives of Boromir in Red Half Moon and Helm's Deep Gimli in Red Half Moon. The only figures to not be available locally were the Mail-Away Uruk-Hai, and Red Box Arwen and Asfaloth.
