A striking variation exists with the Prologue Elven Warrior from the 2002 assortment of The Two Towers. 

Prologue Elven Warrior figures found with Date Stamps of 2002 were initially packaged without the full torso cape that normal is found from the armpit of the figure and over the shoulders. 

This variation is easy to distingush when comparing both versions side by side. 

The example shown has a Date Stamp of 33702.
