2002 assortments of The Fellowship Of The Ring that included Samwise Gamgee now included a revised painted and packaged Samwise Gamgee. 

This version being the more common of the two is packaged with one arm raised, while the second arm with the hand holding the frying pan now faced in a downward position. 

This version now had brown hair, a water flask drapped over his right shoulder and rested on his left side near the frying pan. 

The frying pan is also painted with silver elements making it look worn and weathered.
