A variation exists with Strider from the early assortment of The Fellowship Of The Ring. 

The Strider figure found with Date Stamps of 2001 were released with a torch that had a black painted handle, while flame of the torch also appears to be less translucent and more solid than the subsequent version. 

The example shown has a Date Stamp of 29701.
